Potty Training

We have been having a blast potty training. Will loves to sit on the toilet, absolutely loves to flush and hear how different toilets sound, adores his mickey mouse, train, and monkey undies, and loves eating jelly beans after the fact. A new word for Will is "automatic" which he says everytime we enter a public restroom because he can't wait to wash his hand and get a paper towel from the "automatic" dispenser. One day we went to the zoo and saw the elephant doin' her thing...so I thought we would mix it up and Will could pretend he was the elephant...hehehe

He is really loving pretend play and dress up...I love it.

Our Logan Weekend

We joined Uncle Tom and Aunt Angie for some boating. Will was thrilled he got to drive the boat with Uncle Tom. Uncle Tom even let him work the throttle...it was just a little wild!
Uncle Tom is still Will's idol..to peas in a pod for sure!

Will seems to have a natural love for water. Will loved jumping off the surf board. He wanted to keep going, but he finally got so cold he was shivering and his lips were blue.

Will with Grandma at the park across the street. The other highlight of the weekend was the Cache County Rodeo. I couldn't take any pictures because Will thought he was a bucking bronco. He now rides his horse outside, says "buck off", "mad bull", and then he finds the dirtiest place in the yard and rolls around in it. He then brushes his clothes off and says, "Get up cowboy, brave." Thanks to all for a wonderful weekend!

Kellers Extreme Slip and Slide

"Look at the little guy, he is going faster than we are" is what the guys in the backgroud

were saying...I pointed out that it helps when you have an over zealous dad pushing you down the hill.

Little Boy Blue

Because of size and temperature will graduated to his big boy jammies earlier in the summer and we still can't stop adoring him - our guy is growing up too quickly

We give will a two minute warning that evenning play time (almost always outside) is about to wrap up and it is time to start getting ready for bed - Step one: what we call turbo mode...he turns it up 5 notches and goes wild. Step two: go inside and go potty on the big boy potty...jelly beans for boys who keep their big boy underwear dry. Step three: baby massage and the wiggles and wrestling match to get diaper and jammies on. Step 4: the sillies...spinning in circles, rolling on the floor, jumping and laughing laughing laughing. Step 5: Settling down and reading his favorite stories...he now finishes our sentences for us on his favorite stories ("The Boy Who Fooled The Giant," "Dogs" and "Gold Bug."). Step 6: Brushing teeth / chewing on toothbrush...double check by mom or dad. Step 7: "mommy rock you, daddy rock you." Time to rock and review the days events...dad can't help but tickle goof around. Step 8: "stars are out" time to sleep.

Seattle Summer Vacation

One of the highlights of our Seattle summer vacation is that we were able to make it to Oliver's 2nd birthday. Here is a picture of the birthday boy and Will having milk and cupcakes after the party.
Lovin it

Will sooooo loves his slip n slide, he decided to give one to Oliver for his birthday. It was a hit!!

Here we are at the fish market buying a fresh salmon for dinner at Pike's Place Market. Will was a great traveler and slept great during the trip...including on mom's shoulder and....

on top of Dad's shoulders.

Uncle Si, Auntie Jess, Lucas, Drew, Colby, and Grandma Meg joined us in downtown Seattle for a day of site seeing.

Will has a book about Seattle and his highlight in the book is the Space Needle, so we thought we would experience it first hand. He loved it and kept saying, "Elevator, way up."Snacks on top of the Needle.
