Kate turns 1!

Kate is 1!!!! We had a swim party at Fairmont Aquatic Center! She loves to splash and swim. Bath time with Will is one of her favorite events. Pizza, mangoes, tofu, and ice cream are some of her favorite eats. She loves to drink water out of a cup and is not interested in whole milk at all. She is still nursing and when she is done she grabs her binki an pops it in her mouth. 6 days after her 1st birthday she walked! She says mama, dada, and ball. She LOVES her big brother and belly laughs when he plays peekaboo with her. She has learned to shake her head no, claps, waves hello to almost everyone she sees, dances to all music, and snuggles in just right. She carries socks around wherever she goes?! She weighs 19 pounds and we are so thankful she has been so healthy!! We have enjoyed our baby days sooooo much....thank you Kate!

Happy New Year!! Bring on the Skiing!!

New Year's was spent up at the cabin with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Ty. Grandma's up in the loft playing with the little cuties. We has a wonderful time. Highlights were the beautiful snow, skiing, sledding, playing games, and dance parties in the basement. Cody and I worked the Friday and Grandma took Will up to the cabin for his very first sleepover without us. He was in heaven and told us he would like to live with Grandma and Grandma. Cody and I enjoyed  a Christmas party with friends and then headed up with little Kate.

One morning it was so cold glitter-like snow flakes were sparkling in the sun rays...the picture doesn't really capture it, but it was a breath taking moment.
The superstar rockin' the magic carpet. Towards the end of the day he wanted to go by himself. He would ski down to the bottom and hop off at the top...good job Will!

Trying out the lift for the first time this year. Will loved and said it felt like he was flying....something he soooo desperately wants to do on his own.

Grandpa, Mom, and Will

Will was cruising, making pieces of Grandma's apple pie!
It was a great day at Beaver Mountain. Runs with my dad, watching Will getting better each run, and enjoying the fresh, cool air. Will skied for about 5 hours in 6 degree weather and was said the lift closed at 400. He couldn't understand why people had to go home....so we skied back at the cabin the next day and I was the magic carpet...whew.

Favorite Will quote from skiing: " Mom, do you see all the snow spraying behind me when I go down.?"

Back to the view from the cabin...ahhhhh, not bad at all.

Merry Christmas

It was a Utah Christmas year and Will was glued to Grandpa! As a Christmas suprise, Grandpa got his old Lionel train set up and running. It was Will's highlight for sure and they spent hours driving trains together.

As usualy, Uncle Tom and Auntie Ang, spoiled the kids. Will got hot wheels race tracks for the wall and Kate got a giant rhino!
Kate was a ADORABLE and kept hugging and snuggling the rhino.

Will's gift from Uncle Ty and Aunt Carlee was TALLER than he was. He figured it was about 380,565 feet he told us.

A letter to Sant and some treats...Will shared his favorite...pickled herring.
Christmas morning with Kate...Will was too busy to be caught with the camera.

Santa Visit and Kate's First Ice Cream

We headed down to City Creek Mall to sit on Santa's lap and treat the kids to some ice cream...2 first's for little Kate. Will asked Santa for a remote control monster truck, a transformer, and a little bit of coal. He told him he likes black things and was just curious about coal. Funny guy!

Kate LOVED her vanilla ice cream!

Love these little cuties!
