Dress up and pretend play

Here is cowboy Will and his trusty old horse "Lucky."
Will makes sure Lucky gets hay, barley, oats, and water when needed. Even cleans up Lucky's poop with the dog bags we use for Ellie.

His cowboy hat, red scarf, real leather vest and chaps for neighbors across the street!! He even has little six shooters ! So fun!

Talkin to Lucky after he got bucked off. We went to a rodeo this summer and all Will can talk about is riding horses, getting bucked off, brushing of the dirt, and the mad bulls!
Yes, those are his puppy dog jammies underneath.
All he needs are some cowboy boots!
He rides with one arm up, just like the real cowboys!!!!
You should see him buck and jump that horse across the lawn!!
Will loves his rocket jammies and will now tell you, "Astronauts touch the moon. They ride in space shuttle." He also loves being a little bee and you better watch out because he does sting. Oh, and his ski boots....he is practicing for the winter....we are all excited for that!!!

Backyard Camping

Cody has been bugging me to take Will camping since last summer. It just sounds like way too much work, constant monitoring so Will doesn't get hurt, and a very sleepless night. So we decided to try it in our backyard...(that way I could sneak out of the tent and into my comfortable bed downstairs). Let's just say we didn't get very far. Will was a complete hazard around the fire and wanted to touch it, jump in the fire pit, and run around it like the wild child that he is. So we roasted out hot dogs and put the fire out before we got into the smores. Cody and I were both so frazzled we both decided it will be a while before we head out to the mountains. Cody and I did enjoy our smores and looked at the stars in the tent ,after Will was tucked in his CRIB!!
The next morning Will was playing outside and we found this pattern on Will's face.. yes it was the fire screen mark. After multiple conversations about how fire can burn you and you can't touch the fire pit....this is what we ended up with.

It's a good thing you are cute, Will!!

Rain or Shine

A summer rain....love it. We pulled on our sweatshirts and rainboots and did some puddle jumping...and swimming...and drinking!
It all happened too fast....I couldn't stop him. At least it makes a good picture and he didn't get sick!!

Will loved looking at he reflection.
If there is mud, he finds it!!!
Soggy camo rainboots.

Oh how we have loved our sunny summer days here in Utah. We have been up to Red Butte Gardens several times this summer to look at the flowers, feed the fish, and play in the sand.

I usually find this unique red colored sand for weeks after we have been to the garden because Will thinks it is great fun to roll around in it.

My soccer boys!

Will and I have been practicing our soccer moves this summer. Here is the little soccer pro taking a break on the front porch, waiting for Dad to come home.
Will's soccer shoes and shingaurds have gotten a work out this year!!

My good lookin' soccer boys.
Could they be any cuter together?? When Cody gets home from work Will's first words to him are, "Dad take off tie." Then they are off playing together for the evening. Thanks for being an amazing Dad, Cody.
