Our 10 year Anniversary Trip to Southern Utah

For our 10 year anniversary we took a 4 night, 5 day trip to southern Utah. It was heaven and I loved getting to spend interrupted time with just my Cody. We hiked, ate at amazing restaurants, watched movies, slept in, star gazed, and explored! Thanks Grandma Kath for holding down our fort and watching Will. He was so excited to have Grandma all to himself and waved goodbye without a tear!

An arch at Captiol Reef State Park.

We stayed at the old Torrey School House. It was beautifully remodeled and we were served an amazing organic breakfast from the owner's garden.

We hiked to the "Pioneer Register" and saw were the pioneer's scratched their names in the red rock.

Slot canyon hiking in Capitol Reef.

We stayed at the Slot Canyon Inn in Escalante, Utah. The property consists of 160 acres and has ancient Navajo Indian remains and petroglyphs and pictographs on the rock wall. Amazing spot to star gaze as well...we would sit out on the deck at night and look at the milky way and count shooting stars.

An arrowhead we found on our hike around the property.

A picture of the Inn and the original pioneer house on the property.

Our pregnancy pictograph.

Hiking at Devil's Garden.

Our last stop of the trip was to Bryce Canyon.

Our trip was so refreshing and we loved spending time just the two of us. We were ready to head home and see our little Will. He has fun with Grandma Kath but was thrilled to see us. He did get his 1st ear infection and Grandma had to take him to the doctor. A few days ago he

asked me when we were going on another trip so he could have Grandma all to himself!! Thanks again, Mom!

Grandma Kath's 60th Birthday Party and Weekend

Great Big Grandpa and Great Grandma Do stopped by Logan on their way to Arizona and Will and Grandpa had "coffee" together in the morning. Cheers!

Here we are riding the train at the Historical Farm in Logan.

Horse back riding with little Gramps.

Going on the magic carpet slide with Grandpa.

Will in the background jumping off of the haystack for the 50th time.

The box maze.

Grandma's 60th birthday dinner at Mandarin Gardens...it was the distraction to get her out
of the house while the suprise party was being set up.

Will and Tom had a great weekend together full of lots of snuggling, ping pong, and soccer.

My mom's suprised expression as she walked into the birthday party....she
was completely shocked!

We had about 30 of my parents closest friends and it was a blast. It was so fun to
spoil my mom and plan a party after all the spoiling and planning she does for us.

Another great shot of the her initial reaction.

Cody and Will enjoying some birthday treats together.

The beautiful birthday cake Vivian made for my mom. Delicious too!

My mom and one of her best friends, Vivian.

60 gorgeous long stem roses for the birthday girl!

Getting Ready for Baby Kate

Here Will is all geared up for a few inside projects we accomplished over a couple of weekends in order to get ready for baby Kate.
Wearing Uncle Tom's "real" hard hat.

We bought some shelfs/organizers for downstairs and made more of a play room for the kids. It is great to have the toys more visible and easy to access for Will. He as played a lot with old toys and I think it will be great for winter when baby Kate arrives.

We decided to put in some carpet in the upstairs bedroom to make it feel more cozy and more comfortable for winter...the upstairs bedroom is a guest bedroom/nursery for now.

Opening the crib packaging.

Hours of entertainment for our "little helper."

The finished product which feels very tranquil and calm...love it! Our neighbor girl, Gwen, who is 6 really wanted baby Kate to have her old crib bedding...so sweet.

Will turns 3!!!

Will started his birthday morning with Dutch Babies and 3 dinosaur candles.
Will was showered with presents with John and Shann, our amazing neighbors across the street!

Will has been waiting to turn 3 so he can chew gum. He does really well with it and is quite the little chomper.

John and Shann gave Will a soccer net, ball, and cones...it was a major hit and has provided us with hours of entertainment.

There it is all decked out with a bow on top.

Action shot..notice his cute little Puma indoor shoes we got him for his birthday..he loves them and is quite the player.

We went to Thai Siam, Will's favorite restaurant, for his birthday celebration. They gave him lots of baby corn which he loves and a special dessert at the end.

We ended the evening at our house with gummy worm cupcakes, singing, and celebration!

Thanks Uncle Ty and Aunt Carlie for the painting set!
