More birthday fun, good eats, and the airplane museum!

My mom made me this devine birthday cake! Isn't it gorgeous?? Well it was delicious too consisting of white cake with raspberry ganache filling, butter cream frosting, and raspberry colored fondant! Amazing with fresh rasberries and good company!
Thanks for a great weekend, flowers, balloons, cake, cross country skiing time, and MORE!

Cody gave me these gorgeous flowers...purple irises and calalillies....my favorites!
Will is an eater!!! His new love juice boxes and cereal...both he has to eat without any help.
"Picnics" are a new favorite activity. Will is really starting to pretend play with his plastic animals, stuffed animals, and of course Ellie is always his best playmate.
My days are messy with a toddler on an independent streak. It is nice to have Ellie around to suck up the crumbs. Will now says, "self,"....meaning he wants to do it by himself. Independent activities include going down the stairs, eating and drinking, putting his shoes on, climbing on to the chair, and TRYING to cross the street by himself. Some people would say this is a defiant stage, but personally I don't see it that way. I love his adventuresome side of trying new things without any hesitation. He is an explorer, a risk taker, a fearless daredevil, and intense. He is also so innocent, tender hearted, easy to laugh, and is still a momma's boy! I love my days with my Wills!
A trip to the Hill Airforce Base Airplane Museum was last weeks highlight. Uncle John and Aunt Shann from across the street took a half a day off to join us and then we went out to dinner afterwards.
John just retired after 30+ years as an airplane mechanic. He was a great guy to have along!
Should we cut his hair?
Thanks to John and Shann for all of their love.
